Helping people stay connected to the life they love

I believe life doesn't stop being worth living simply because circumstances change.

Twenty years alongside people

I've spent more than twenty years working in roles centred around people, wellbeing and community.

My background includes the NHS, social prescribing, health coaching, community development and private wellbeing practice, supporting people through many of life's changes with warmth, curiosity and practical care.

I believe people flourish when they feel listened to, understood and accepted without judgement. Often, simply having someone alongside us — someone who listens, notices and genuinely cares — can make an extraordinary difference.

Alongside my professional experience, raising two children has taught me just as much about resilience, patience, humour and the importance of human connection as any qualification ever could.

Friends and colleagues often describe me as calm, dependable and easy to talk to.

Creating an environment where people feel safe, comfortable and able to be themselves is at the heart of how I work.

What I believe

I believe the greatest gift we can offer another person is our presence.

Not because we have all the answers. Not because we can solve every problem. But because when someone feels truly seen, heard and accepted, they are gently reminded of something we all need to remember — that they matter.

Life changes as people get older, and a week can quietly get smaller. Most of what I do is keeping it the size it was — the same walk, the same café, the same friends.

There is no pressure. No agenda. No expectation that someone should be different from who they are.

A favourite café.

A walk in nature.

A meaningful conversation.

Time spent with people who make us feel seen, valued and connected.

My hope is that every person I spend time with feels calmer, more peaceful and more at ease.

If someone feels a little lighter when I leave than when I arrived, the afternoon has done its job.

Being clear about what this is

My aim is to build relationships that feel natural, reassuring and unhurried, so that families know exactly who is turning up and what to expect.

Although my work can complement care services, it isn't domiciliary care, therapy or medical support.

I work with one or two people at a time. Support is provided under a written Client Agreement and Terms and Conditions, so everything is clear from the beginning.

It's to offer companionship, encouragement and practical support in a way that helps people feel more connected — to themselves, to others and to the life they wish to keep living.

What you can expect from me

A calm and thoughtful presence

Whether we're talking over coffee, going for a walk or attending an appointment, you'll have my full attention.

Respect for your independence

My role is never to take over, but to support you in continuing to live life in the way that feels right for you.

Reliability and clear communication

I'll be dependable, communicate openly and, where family members are involved, agree with you how and when updates are shared.

Respect, discretion and professional boundaries

Your privacy, dignity and choices matter. I'll always be clear about the support I can provide and when another professional may be more appropriate.

My work isn't about changing people's lives.

It's about helping them continue living them.
